| The Furman Singers, the oldest of Furman University's
choral ensembles, was founded in 1946 by the late DuPre Rhame and has been under the
direction of Dr. Bingham Vick, Jr. since 1970.
In addition to on-campus concerts and performances, the Furman Singers tours annually throughout the country. Beginning in 1974, the Singers have
traveled to Europe biennially during the summer for concert tours which have included England, Scotland, Wales, France, Austria, Italy,

| Germany, Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Finland, and Estonia. The Furman Singers is recognized as one of America's
premier collegiate choirs. Membership is by audition and is open to all Furman students.

1990, Furman Singers sing in Cathedral of the Assumption
inside the Kremlin in Moscow. The first choir since 1917 to perform in that sacred Russian Orthodox Cathedral.
